 These were staged for the camera photographs but still great wartime photo's.

This is probably the most well known publicity staged photo for the press the so called dead German has on British ankle boots and socks !


Another well known picture used in many books I was disappointed to find out this was a staged photo as I remember seeing this in a book as a child and it started my interest in finding out more about the war in North Africa.

 Long Range Desert group preparing to go into action


If those were Axis trucks not a sight you'd want to see ! But this low-flying Royal Air Force plane is escorting trucks of a New Zealand unit on the move in Egypt on August 3, 1942. Love the movement in this photo.
